Project Description

Spug is a giant plush toy shaped like a lemur. Its ergonomic design was modeled to be hugged comfortably. The arms, legs and long tail of the plush are filled with biological buckwheat hulls to give a reassuring weight to the hug while the rest of the body is shaped with reclaimed furniture stuffings. Spug is sewn in a sustainable muslin fabric. The plush is silkscreened, illustrating Concordia University’s Design Department and adorning a poem written in English and French.
