Hedra

Project Description

Hedra is not only a lamp; it is an experience. Hedra is designed to be constantly ‘redesigned’ by the user. Its ingenious system allows adding pieces to the base, creating a new sculptural object every time. By placing the triangular pieces over top of the base, the electrical circuit closes and turns on the LEDs within the triangles. Hedra has snap-on 3D printed pieces, making it easy to assemble and disassemble for recycling. Hedra doesn’t contain any wires but instead, conductive thread channels the electrical system. This allows easy replacement of any electrical parts, only needing to be sewn together.
