Project Description

My Journey, My Culture is a hand-bound book that presents a gathering of personal images from Katherine’s journey in the Chinese culture. When this small 3×4" book is opened, it transforms into a 6×4" standard photo size. All images are placed in chronological order and the captions are always at the end of each signature. Accompanying each caption are Chinese characters that she wrote and scanned, which are related to the images. The translation of each is written on its left. In addition, every centre spread of each signature can be lifted up to view an image in colour.
