Artist Statement

Julian Garcia was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, spent his formative years in Boston, MA and has lived in Canada since 2009. He is currently waiting for his Canadian citizenship. For the time being, with a Colombian passport, he enjoys visa-free/visa issued on arrival access to approximately 63 countries. His art practice aims to explore the relations developed between people, institutions, natural resources and already existing information as global connections increase and with them, new perspectives and attitudes emerge.
