Artist Statement

Mira Georgieva has a background in fashion design. A Parsons School of Design graduate, she worked in New York City’s fashion industry for 15 years, designing for major brands such as Calvin Klein and Timberland. She is currently pursuing new avenues in digital technologies and the integration of fashion design in the emerging field of wearable electronics. Her interest in wearables is in their practical application, as well as their potential for artistic expression. As a graduate student at Concordia, she is exploring opportunities where she can apply her newly acquired skills.
