Artist Statement

Kyle Purves is a Montreal based artist whose work combines scenography and digital technologies, creating rich visual design and user interactivity. Kyle owes much of his experience and creativity to theatre and performing arts, a place that taught him to be bold, expressive and dramatic. He has worked in theatre, film, and fashion as a designer and performer. Kyle is excited to explore new forms of performance and interactivity with works that bring narratives to audiences in new formats. His research considers where theatre can go with increasingly new technologies and what role it takes in new media and interactivity.
