Project Description

Open Wide mixes animation, illustration and installation in a project built around the thematic of dreams. Strategically hidden in a wooden peep box, a short film expands the idea of a sleep state and loops continuously to eliminate any notion of a beginning or an end. The “dream” is meant to be experienced by multiple individuals, but will always be perceived differently by each and every one. The primary motivation of this project arose from the artist’s extended curiosity in people’s interactions with their own unconscious and her interest in exploring the influence of dreams on waking life.
