Artist Statement

Elissa Russillo creates artworks and graphic design inspired by emotion and gesture. This intuitive process involves cut and paste techniques integrated with and from digital print. Her creative practice emerged at Concordia University when she found her passion for the graphic arts and her love for a more handmade approach such as collage and drawing. She continuously finds new ways of integrating different mediums by experimenting on current works. Her process is on-going, as she believes each work becomes the point of departure for endless evolving ideas and series. She believes that our works always grow with us subconsciously.
