Coffee Table Balance

Project Description

The artists designed a table in the shape of the Libra, an astrological Zodiac Sign, turned upside down. It looks visually unstable, giving a disturbing impression that it will incline if something is placed onto it or pressure is applied on the side. There are no visible screws or nails, contributing to the effect, but in reality, this coffee table is rigid and stable. It is made from Russian plywood with a mahogany stain and a linseed oil finishing, with transparent glass on the top.
