Artist Statement

With the constant evolution of technology, humans are becoming more ahead of their time in the realm of science and innovative design. Maisie Tran’s artwork focuses on the interaction between design and digital technologies, mainly in the field of 3-dimensional objects, where one questions how far technology can work with designers in creating innovative designs. Her curiosity as a designer working with wood, metal and plastic combined with advanced technologies such as CNC milling, 3D printing and digital rendering has led her to realize how important both aspects are needed to work together in order to create and innovate.
