Artist Statement

Kati Peltola is a curious designer constantly evolving. Her practice is mainly focused on critical object design, yet believes that a designer can no longer settle on only one domain and should be challenged to master several territories. Kati moves with ease in between textile, graphic and object design, creating experiences that challenge the viewer. Her work is often personal and seeks inspiration from nature, fear of the future and her Finnish identity.
