Project Description

With this project, the artists were pushed to reconsider the experience of restaurants and instigate an object that changed behavior in an interesting way. They developed a table that replaced the legs with the users’, where they became the support and could only eat properly through cooperation. On the surface of the table, the Saint Lawrence River is depicted to bring the scope of community beyond the two eating and into the geography from which their food is derived. This project was an attempt to understand the importance of local community and eating as a social bonding agent.
